 9 ways to spring clean your fitness routine

1) Book a GP visit

Take this as an opportunity for an annual check up.  It's important to keep tabs on things like blood pressure, cholesterol, and vitamin deficiencies before commencing a new fitness program.

2) Find a fitness buddy

Working out is easier with a friend and you’re more likely to stick to it! Choose someone who’s reliable and will motivate and push you further.

3) Spring clean your fitness wardrobe

Invest in your fitness with perhaps some new clothes and training shoes. You’ll be more motivated to use them!

4) Mix up your playlist

Do some Spotify spring cleaning and try a new playlist for your running or gym workout.

5) Stretch Out

To prevent injuries after having a winter break make sure you warm up and stretch down adequately. 

6) Break up the routine

Spring is a great time to try a new outdoor sport like tennis or golf to mix up your fitness workouts.

7) Refresh your goals

Have a think of your goals beyond just weight loss. Perhaps it’s a goal on how you feel, or how much energy you want to have?  

8) Find more ways to be active

With warmer weather find new ways to be more active, like walking to the shops or a different bus stop. It could even be wearing ankle weights while you spring clean your house – all the extra calories you’ll burn count!

9) Reward and celebrate

Don’t forget to reward yourself for making some healthy fitness changes like a facial or massage
