I am pleased to share a big thanks for helping me achieve my medium term health goals.A year ago, I was a fat stressed out 42 year old insurance broker with every excuse known to man to avoid exercise.
I am now 11 kgs lighter, 10 times fitter, sleep less, complain less (yes Renee), and life is infinitely more enjoyable, the quality of life and balance seem to have returned. I had years in "traditional" gyms, stop/start attitude, recurring injuries from incorrect technique,lack of strength in crucial areas and lack luster application because of the repetitive nature of training.
When I first visited MovePTS, the team concentrated on rehabilitation, strength and condition training, diet and lifestyle education (choices) and gradually moved toward developing a programme which was specifically tailored for me.
My old lame excuses disappeared one by one......"I don't like cardio" ...... Was addressed by Renee who happens to be a very remarkable cardio boxing trainer (she even let me knock her glasses off once, to make me feel like a man)
Richo is the quiet crazy guy, the type who doesn't say much but packs a mean punch......He persuaded me to love (like) cross fit but I still refuse to do traveling lunges or Burpees ! Adrian and the whole team push hard, but not to break you......... Rehab and longevity play a equally important part in the MovePTS plan for their clients.
The whole team have helped me get rid of the excuses and get on with living a healthier, happier life.....Thank-you !

Firstly, I would like to say a massive thank you for all your guidance and assistance to help me achieve my fitness goals (Looking forward to achieving the next).
When we first met in March 2012, not only was I physically out of shape but my mental state of mind was creating every excuse not to train, having an adverse affect on my self esteem and confidence.
My role entails long hours, copious amounts of meetings, entertaining, travel, all the best excuses not to train as I’m always too busy. After our first session together and identifying how unfit and out of shape I was, I then realised enough was enough!
The versatility and flexibility you provided for my training times and routines allowed me to accommodate my daily schedule and ultimately eroded away any excuses, then the journey began.
Once we were committed to the weekly times you locked in, I was locked in and I made sure I was there...... You gave me the opportunity to create the life work balance, which was the major goal I had to achieve. For that I thank you again!!
I now feel more disciplined, structured and energetic, putting me in the most powerful state of mind I have been in for a long time.... Looking forward to our next training session Adrian, once again thank you so much for everything!!

I have been training at Move Personal Training for 6 months now and cannot believe the difference it has made. Not only have I seen significant changes in my body over this short amount of time, it has completely changed my attitude towards diet and exercise.
Before I signed up at Move, there was nothing you could say to get me in a gym. My eating habits were very unhealthy and I lacked self control and motivation. It wasn’t until my first training session with Richard that I realised something had to change.
After assessing my fitness level, which was a disgrace, a personalised training program was created. Richard helped me work to my strengths and knew when to push me when I wanted to give up. By setting short term and long term goals, I was encouraged to stick with the training regime and was always praised when each of these goals were reached.
It’s clear that their aim at Move is to educate, ensuring the achieved results are long term. From diet plans, to training tips and exercise techniques, Richard has taught me that it’s quite easy to get fit and lose weight as long as you are prepared to put in the hard work. So after 6 months of gruelling training sessions and a great deal of complaining from me, I am now 2kg away from my goal weight and have never felt stronger or healthier. My eating habits have completely transformed and I am at the gym most days.
The trainers at Move have been so supportive and encouraging and I couldn’t have done this without them. Thanks guys!

Being introduced to Move PT by my brother-in-law was one the best things that had happened to me in a long time.
For the last 12 months I have been coming to Move and loving it. Dan is an amazing trainer - he uses my competitive nature as a motivational tool and pushes us harder then I think I would push myself. He mixes boxing, kettle bells and cardio and funnily enough makes it somehow fun.
Thanks to Adrian and his amazing team I have lost along with my wife a combined weight of over 60kgs and we are fitter, healthier and so much happier for it.

Mitchell
Mitchell Andrews was one of the first clients to walk through the doors at Move Personal training in October 2008. Mitchell’s goals were to lose weight and build muscle. Mitchell wanted to train with us one on one 5 times a week purely lifting weights.
A hypertrophy weights program was designed for Mitchell each month making sure the exercises and stimulus were changed along with his progressions.
Lifting weights was part of the equation for Mitchell along with eating well. A training diary was used and every session was logged in along with his food for the week holding Mitchell always accountable.
As you can see by the pictures, Mitchell is a great success.

I had gotten to a point in my life where I had moved countries, was dealing with a big change in lifestyle with my partner doing FIFO as well as coping with some fairly major family issues back in NZ. My answer had been to comfort eat and drink. My boss at work took the before photo at Christmas time 2014 and had printed it out and put it on the wall at work .. I was genuinely shocked at how I really looked and realised that I needed to make some major changes.
I had tried various forms of exercise but none delivered the outcome that I was after. At 45 I wanted to be physically and mentally fit.
The different training styles of Daniel and Richard have kept me motivated and on track. They get "me" .. thanks guys!

I signed up with Move Personal Training at the beginning of this year hoping to lose some weight and get fit again in time for my wedding. Over the past few years the kilos had just crept on and working shift work and long hours made it hard to stick to any strict diet or hard core exercise program.
With two half hour sessions a week Adrian made getting fit easy and I found it so much more efficient and effective than a one hour body pump class at the gym. I lost 14kg and was fit enough to run 10km again. The increased lean muscle mass gave me back my metabolism and the kilos dropped off despite me not altering my diet. Best of all I did it all without a single injury and ended up looking toned rather than bulked up.
